Brandy is the shortening of brandy wine, which was derived from the Dutch word “brandewijn”, which literally means "burned wine". Narrowly speaking, brandy denotes liquors obtained from distillation of wine. After distillation, the unaged brandy is placedoak barrels to mature. In the general colloquial usage of the term, brandy may also be made from pomacefrom fermented fruit other than grapes. If a beverage comes from a particular fruit (or multiple fruits) other than exclusively grapes,from the must of such fruit, it may be referred to as a "fruit brandy""fruit spirit"named using the specific fruit, such as "peach brandy", rather than just generically as "brandy". Except France, other countries produce brandy with different styles as well, such as Spain, Italy, Portugal, US, Peru, Germany, South Africa, Greece, etc.

Alita Brandy VSOP is produced from the blend of selected brandies from BordeauxCognac regions in France. The brandy spirit is made by double distillation of the grape wine produced from the following grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard. The taste is delicatelight, typical for French brandy. It has perfectly balancedintense aroma, with the hints dried fruit, caramelvanilla.
